Creede – Elevation 8,852

After we left there we headed a little further south, deeper into the mountains, to a tiny little mining town called Creede. Its elevation is 8852 feet above sea level. I could not believe how dry it was at that altitude. The locals advised us to move slowly, and drink lots of water.
