Cripple Creek, CO – and the Ghosts!!!

by Deric Stowell on October 31st, 2009

Yesterday we went to Cripple Creek. Its an old mining town about an hour North of Pueblo. We drove past Pikes Peak on the way there. As you can see from the picture, its so high that the clouds get snagged on its top!!

Here is an album of photos from Cripple Creek.

I especially want to point out a couple of special photos though. While we were there we went to a kind of show called a MeloDrama. DSCN0730

It was a lot of fun, it was a kind of play with a real piano player.

Everyone in the audience would yell out BOO! or HISS! at the villain, or YAY! at the hero.

  Lots of fun!!!

Anyways before the show i took a couple of pics of the theatre.DSCN0738

To my surprise, though, one of the pics revealed a ghostly image!

If you look very closely at the bottom left corner you will see a person’s shadow on the curtain, and what appears to be a hazy circle of light of some kind emanating from it. Creepy, huh?? 10 Minutes after i took this picture I learned that there was a group (gaggle?) of paranormal researchers at the old Jail down the street.

Not one to miss an opportunity when i see it, I immediately went down there and talked to a guy named (I am not making this up…!!!) Dr. Richard Reason. These guys were busy recording actual voices in the jail of the ghosts that were still there.
C-R-E-E-P-Y!!

This is definitely one of the most interesting Halloweens EVER!
