I asked my Mom for her Vinegar Taffy recipe that i remeber making as a kid around christmas-time. It took me a while to finally get all the ingrediants together in the same room. So, 5 weeks after christmas I gave it a shot. The first attempt was a total flop, due to my inability to correctly read a candy thermometer. See, 130 degrees is just NOT the same as 252 degrees, no matter how much you want it to be.
